It’s the New Year, and with that comes new endeavors!
- MAKE time to workout. Exercise is addicting, and I’ve missed that daily rush.
- Break out my Vibram FiveFingers and put them to use again (Done!). This deserves a separate point, because they are the only running shoe that doesn’t make my knee hurt.
- Finish Masters degree and the internship in May, and begin preparing for the RD exam. Apply for gainful employment! Woo! I am so looking forward to having normal nightly and weekend hours again that are not spent doing hours of homework.
- Warrior Dash in April! Warrior Dash last year was thunderstormed out, and I’m eager to get into some mud slingin’ fun stretched over 3.4 miles!
- I would love a trip to Europe, but that may wait one more year depending on multiple factors. We DO need to make a trip to Texas to visit pals and family.
- I still want to go back-pack camping! I’m imagining somewhere in the Tennessee or Georgia foothills. This will take some preparation, though, so we’ll have to pick and choose between our adventures.
- Till up a sizable portion of the back yard and give a classic garden a go! Tomatoes, peppers, and peas, oh my!
- Again, like last year: Life life deeply and deliberately, as I only get just one.
- Again, like last year: Laugh with Ryan as we play with and work on our house together.
- Get in the sunshine more with friends and family. I’ve loved the chilly weather, but I’m already looking forward to the summer!
- Read more! I miss reading for hours on end; and really I have been, but it’s been more along the lines of the Krebs cycle and macronutrients.
- Go horseback riding! I’ve been thinking on this for a while now, and it’s been years since I’ve done this.
Ok, that’s 12 goals thus far! Some are a given and some are lofty, but I’m looking forward to what this year brings!
